Harvest at the end of summer

Jacqueline Kelsey General Blog 0 0

A list of all the flowers by season, on bushes, ground covers, perennials, and annuals proved a basket of abundance, especially when I noted how many wild flowers add to the huge bunches.

I found a picture taken 15 years ago of the old crab apple tree
in Vermont which grew higher than the roof gable, twenty feet beyond. Imagining its age I guessed 150 years.

When I wrote BENEATH THE TALL BLACK DOOR, nature parables about animals in our Vermont house yard, there was a remarkable correspondence between my creativity and the
huge blossoming of the tree. Neighbors came to take pictures  and I knew that my book would blossom as well. It was the secret in my heart, my personal perceptions of life experiences in nature and with animals.   I published it in 2011.

As I am grateful for all the flowers at the Apple Shed and see them as Harvest I look forward to what they will represent in my life experiences creatively. Of course planting and drawing wild flowers to me is enough. I need to give thought to what they correspond to in me.

What is creating in You?
